SAMUEL "Sammie" COX, 82, of Dunlow, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 11, 1935 at Genoa, W.Va., a son of the late Milton and Bertha Cox.  His wife Marie Rice Cox also preceded him in death along with one sister, Edith Cox Watts, and Glenn Roy Cox.  Sammie was retired from PCA Packaging Corporation of Rittman, Ohio.

He leaves behind one daughter, Mary Ann (David) Jarvis of East Lynn, W.Va.; one sister, Gladys (Dennie) Robertson of Ft. Gay, W.Va.; four brothers, Ralph (Barbara) Cox of Wayne, W.Va., Billy G. (Christine) Cox of Rittman, Oh., Thomas Edward (Betty) Cox of Wadsworth, Oh., and Virgil (Judy) Cox of Lavalette, W.Va.; and two step-grandchildren, Burnie Eugene Jarvis and Andrea Louise Jarvis, both of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Community Memorial Gardens with Pastors Gordon Workman and Randall Robertson officiating.  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cox family.
