Beloved husband and father, SATTIS GEORGE LANDIS, 81, of Wayne, W.Va., departed this world for his eternal life Friday, March 3, 2017 at Florida Waterman Hospital, Tavares, Fla..  He was born March 22, 1935 at Kenna, W.Va., a son of the late Cleo and Vertie Landis.  Two sisters and one brother also preceded him in death.  Sattis served in the US Army, was retired from American Electric Power Company with 40 years of service, and a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Frances Landis; two children, Joyce Gebhart of Lakeview, Ohio, and Jeffrey Sattis (Vicki) Landis of San Antonio, Tex.; five grandchildren, Candice (David) McGath, Melissa Bartram, Lilly Powell, Zachary Landis, and Alexander (Jordann) Landis; four great grandchildren, Brittany McGath, Dakota Nevers, Zeva Adkins, Breanna Landis; and one great grandson on the way.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Harry Ramsey and Pastor Leo Scaggs, and Brother Richard Childers, officiating.  Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens, Barboursville with military honors provided by American Legion Post 93.  Friends may call after 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
