SHIRLEY JEAN THOMPSON, 60, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1965, in Louisa, Ky., a daughter of the late Curtis and Lillian Yates Rowe. Also preceding her in death was two brothers James Rowe and Charles Rowe; and one sister-in-law, Tammy Rowe.

She leaves behind four children, Rodney Robinson of Florida, Jerry (Sam) Robinson of Lavalette, W.Va., Sabrina Hall, and Jazmyn Pack, both of Huntington; and six grandchildren, Hayden Hall, Rachel, Joseph, Levi, and Leah Robinson, and Lilly Lowe.

Also surviving is one brother, Roger (Kim) Rowe of Dunlow, W.Va.; three sisters, Ellen Merritt, Leatha Rowe, both of East Lynn, W.Va., and Maxine Riffle of Vienna, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Herman Dingess, Jr., and Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Crabtree Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
