SLENA GAY WATTS, 72, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2017.  She was born December 25, 1944 at Dunlow, W.Va., a daughter of the late Frank and Easter Maynard Aldridge. Her daughter Lisa Ann Watts also preceded her in death along with one sister, Georgia Perry, three brothers, Fred Aldridge, Filmore Aldridge, and Willis Aldridge, and one granddaughter, Amanda Michelle Lewis.  Slena was a homemaker and a member of New Vision Baptist Church, Wayne.

She leaves behind her loving husband Toney Watts; she leaves behind two daughters and their husbands whom she loved as sons, Darlene (David) Lewis and Deborah (Gordon) Carter, all of Wayne; two granddaughters, Della (Simon) Kilpatrick and Brittney (Chris) Boyd, all of Wayne; and three great grandchildren, Katelynn Ann Kilpatrick, Bradley Sean Kilpatrick, and Hayden Ceaira Boyd.

Also surviving are four sisters, Minnie (Paul) Jarrell, Brookie (Shiloh) Porter, all of Wayne, Dorothy Brumfield of Huntington, and Hazel (Everett) Stumbo of Whitesville, W.Va.; one brother, George (Versal) Aldridge of Flatwoods, Ky.; special friend Dale "Rail" Perry, whom she considered her own; her dog "Tank"; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Asst. Pastor Danny Damron officiating.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with final expenses are appreciated.
