STEPHEN ALLEN CARPENTER, 42, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  Steve worked at the Volunteer Fire Department and attended Wayne Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Agnes Dillon; paternal Grandmother, Mildred Carpenter; and one uncle, James Dillon.

Survivors include his mother, Ladonia Carpenter of Wayne; his father, Michael Carpenter of Huntington, W.Va.; one son, Stephen Michael Carpenter; one sister, Stephanie Carpenter, both of Wayne; his aunts, Marsha Carpenter of Huntington, and Sharon (Jimmy) Fletcher of Lavalette, W.Va.; and a host of friends and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
