HAROLD THOMAS "TOMMY" STALEY, 65, of East Lynn, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2018.  Born November 10, 1952 at Wayne, W.Va., he was preceded in death by his father Harold Staley and his daughter Martha Jean Scott.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty Jean Staley; one son, Thomas Harmon Staley at home; his mother Lillian Chaney of East Lynn; nine sisters, Linda Cornell of Sandusky, Oh., Sue Adkins of Wayne, Joyce (Carlos) Adkins of East Lynn, Dora Mae (Anthony) Adkins of Wayne, Lois Staley of Ashland, Ky., Edie (Kevin) Wright of Littcarr, Ky., Myrtle Williamson Allen of Ashland, and Tracey Lynn of Ohio;  plus 12 nieces and 11 nephews.

Tommy was a minister of the Big Lynn Freewill Baptist Church where he served as Pastor from February 2004 until April 2015.  He also enjoyed playing bluegrass gospel music and talking on his C.B. radio with the handle "Music Man."

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Workman, Preacher Carlos F. Adkins, Preacher Braxton Adkins, and Deacon Rodney Scott officiating.  He will be laid to rest next to his daughter at the Kelly Perry Cemetery.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
