VICIE STATON WETHY, 88, of Dunlow, W.Va., died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, Ky.  She was born October 25, 1928 in Varney, Ky., a daughter of the late Oscar and Cordelia Williamson Stanley. Also preceding her in death was her husband Johnny Staton in 1960 and her husband Vince Wethy in 1991, along with one son, Jimmie Lee Staton, and one great grandson, Alexander.

She is survived by four daughters, Lona (Troy) Stroud of Dunlow, Marie (Richard) Stacy of Crum, W.Va., Loretta (Bill) Meadows of Brookfield, Ga., and Illene (Billy) Newsome of Louisa; one son Danny (Sandra) Staton of Belleville, Mich.; special daughter-in-law, Juanita Staton of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Silver Creek Church, Crum, with Rev. Dale Crum and Rev. Randy Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Kentucky with grandsons serving as pallbearers.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the church.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
