VIRGIL RAY PACK, 79, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017. He was born December 16, 1937 at Wayne, a son of the late Drewie and Myrtle Pack. His brother Jennings Pack also preceded him in death, along with two sisters, Lois Russell and Phyllis Pack. Virgil was a U.S. Navy Veteran who retired from Astro, but best known in the community for his time employed at the Wayne Wal-Mart. He was witty, enjoyed joking, and dearly loved his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol Sue Casteel Pack; three sons, Stephen (Carol) Lycans, Kevin (Christine) Lycans, and Kenneth "Marc" (Dana) Pack; one daughter, Tina Fliger, all of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters Wanda Kuhel of Ohio, Iris Bivins of Georgia, Suzie Lehman of Oh., and Jeffery Bailey of East Lynn, W.Va.; three brothers, Roger Pack of Branchland, W.Va., Drewie Pack "Jr." of Oh., and Hubert Pack of Branchland; special four-legged friend Mickey; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Jerry Casteel and Larry Casteel officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral
