WAVA ADKINS TOPPINS, 73, of Kiahsville, W.Va. passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her home.  She was born October 6, 1952, at Cove Gap, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Tom Alve and Gladys Nelson Adkins.  Her husband Claude Toppins also preceded her in death along with five sisters, Vida Adkins, Mary Lou Adkins, Brookie Wiley, Rosa Lee Adkins, and Martha Brooks; and two brothers, Tom Adkins Jr., and Bill Adkins.

Survivors include five daughters, Amanda (Carl) Noe of Hamlin, W.Va., Rebecca (Tony) Adkins of Ohio, Mary Meeks of Branchland, W.Va., Stacy (Tommy) Pitts of Wayne, and Ashley (Ryan) Mills, also of Wayne; 13 grandchildren, Allison (Brian) Watts, Sarah Raby, Bethany (Seth) Forbes, Kylee Street, Kaydee Meeks, Bailey "Jo" Meeks, Bobby Joe Wiley, Taylor Wiley, Tyler Wiley, Skylar Pitts, Landon Pitts, Paislee Mills, and Greyson Mills; and four great grandchildren, Ryder Terry,  Macy Watts, Matthew Watts, and Graham Forbes.

Also surviving is one sister, Sue Gibson of Maryland; six brothers, Ezra Adkins, Leonard Adkins, both of Kiahsville, David Adkins, Bobby Adkins, Donnie Dale Adkins, and James (Ruby) Adkins, all of Kiahsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Vance Cemetery, Little Harts.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
