WILLIS GENE STEELE, 85, of Lavalette, W.Va., joined the Lord in Heaven on February 24, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gladys Steele; his three children Patricia (Mark) Ulanch, Michael Steele, and Kevin (Melanie) Steele. He is also survived by four grandchildren Elise (Michael) Galis, Brandon Steele, Ryan Steele, Kyle Steele; one sister Cathy (Charles) Fortner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Willis was preceded in death by his mother Carrie Epling Thomas, brother Carl Steele, and sister Jewell Gray.

He will be forever in our hearts.

The visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Lou Ashworth officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clay Family Cemetery.
