ALFRED DILLON, 98, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born July 18, 1926, in Wayne, a son of the late Roy and Rosie Adkins Dillon. All 11 siblings also preceded him in death along with his wife Lillian Dillon, and one daughter, Brenda Ann Stephens. Alfred was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Cline and her husband Darrell of Waterloo, Oh.; two sons, Richard Dillon and his wife Tammy, and Mitchell Dillon and his wife Cathy, all of Wayne; six grandchildren, Jason Stephens, Aaron Stephens, Jonah (Brandi) Dillon, Valena (Weston) Skeens, Dora (Roy) Pratt, and Jarred Stephens (the late Kendall Keith); seven great grandchildren, Noah Dillon, Sarah Dillon, Seth Pratt, Heath Pratt, Kara Pratt, Elijah Stephens and Isaiah Stephens; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Brother Dallas Stephens officiating and military honors performed by the American Legion Post 93. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
