ALLEN W. WILSON, 71, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House after a long illness. He was born May 29, 1955, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Maitland "Steve" and Inafay Wilson. His brother Thomas Wilson also preceded him in death. Allen was a lifelong fan of bluegrass music and found great joy in playing the guitar and banjo, often sharing his love of music with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, a pastime that reflected his sharp mind and love of a good challenge.

He leaves behind two daughters, Kimberly (Dan) Wyatt of Columbus, Oh., and Jennifer (Jim) Skuhrovec of Cleveland, Oh.; their mother, Jackie Wilson of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Brandon Wyatt, Logan Wyatt, Riley Wyatt, all of Columbus, and Gavin Skuhrovec of Cleveland; one sister, Brenda Zyzniewski; one brother Robert Wilson, both of Cleveland; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Valley View Woods, 13005 Schreiber Road, Valley View, OH 44125. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
