ALLIE “JEAN” PERRY, 85, of East Lynn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was born April 9, 1939, in Harts, W.Va., a daughter of the late Delmas and Martillia Workman. Her husband of over 61 years, Vernon Perry, also preceded her in death along with one brother, Earsel Workman, one sister, Eliza Workman, two nieces Peggy Hensley, and Yvonne Evans; and one nephew Brian Workman. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Baptist Church in Branchland.
She is survived by three children, Donnetta (Larry) Johnson of East Lynn, Doug (Teresa) Perry of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va., Stephen J. (Crystal) Perry of S.C.; 15 grandchildren, Scott, Kayla, Chrissi, Chad, Tiffany, Brittany, Tara, Josh, Megan, Stephen Kyle, Morgen, Haylee, Whitney, and Kyle; and 17 great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Liam, Riley, Amery, Tres, Kaidyn, Gracynn, Brody, Avery, Parker, Amelia, Arahlynn, Carson, Allie, Raegynn, and Bristol.
Also surviving is one brother Robert Workman of Cleveland, Oh.; one sister, Yvonne Hensley of Chapmanville, W.Va.; special friends Pat Napier and Jamie Drake; as well as a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Jason McComas and Jamie Clay officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
