ANISE WATTS BROWNING BATES, 77, of Ft. Gay, W.Va., formerly of Big Hurricane Creek, Prichard, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at her home. She was born in Donathan, near Ferguson in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Spicey Dingess Watts and William Albert Watts, Jr. Also preceding her in death were siblings, Ira Watts, Martha Simms, Nancy Fraley, and Sarah Copley; and two grandchildren, Isaac Browning and Kaytlyn Browning.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Bates; two sons, Dempsey (Lois) Browning of Ft. Gay, and Charles E. (Tabitha) Browning of Prichard; and two grandchildren, Amanda Browning, and Clayton Browning.
Private burial will take place at Community Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
