ARTHUR DAMRON, 81, of Dunlow, W.Va., passed away February 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1939 in Ferguson, W.Va., a son of the late Forest and Bertha Damron. Also preceding him in death was one brother, James E. Damron; two sisters, Margaret Katherine Damron and Ethel Thurman; along with three infant siblings, twins Arland and Garland, and Mary Ann. Arthur was retired from Peabody Coal Company in Raleigh County where he was a supervisor.
He leaves behind his companion, Betty Humphrey; one daughter, Pamela (Ronald) Trent; four sons, Glen Damron, Jeffrey Damron, Timothy Damron and Roger Damron, all of Hammond, Ind.; and several grandchildren; two brothers, Forest (Fay) Damron Jr., of Lavalette, W.Va., and Cledith (Shirley R.) Damron of Proctorville, Oh.; three sisters, Linda (Kenny) Cox of Genoa, W.Va., Edith (Jack) Jervis of Lavalette, and Thelma (Willis) Porter of Reedsville, Oh.; along with a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Sam Damron Cemetery with Elder Danny Damron officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
