Arthur (Jr.) Talbert

ARTHUR TALBERT, JR., 89, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the VA Medical Center.  He was born June 9, 1933, a son of the late Muriel and Arthur Talbert Sr.  Also preceding him in death was his wife Yvonne Talbert; three brothers, Austin, Thomas, and Donald Talbert; three sisters, Stella Ratcliff, Laura Mae Stephens, and Carolyn Knight; and one grandson, Joshua Arthur Bowen.  Arthur served in the US Navy and retired from Owens Illinois with 28 years of service.  Additionally, he was a member of Canada Chapel Church, Wayne.

                Survivors include his daughter, June (Dave) Bowen of Northfield, Oh.; two sons, Jeff (Lucy) Talbert and Allen Talbert, both of Wayne; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Shawn, Shara, Julia, and Ashley; several great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention. 

                Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, December 16, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating.  Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
