Betty Adkins

BETTY L. ADKINS, 86, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, May 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 16, 1937, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Elbert and Olga Adkins.  Also preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 50 years, James H. Adkins; sisters Marie, Opal, Blanche, Eddie, Vera, and Leona; brothers Paris B., Orville, Robert, Ersie, Ollin, Cornis, and Delmar Ray.

                Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters, Vickie, Kim, and Jamie; grandchildren Darius Adkins, Kody (Shelby) Adkins, Kayla (Chris) Johaim; great grandchildren Caylyn, Braydon, Kyle, Lucas, Sadie, Liam, Madelynn, Alexandria, Natalie, and Brittanie.

                Also surviving is one sister, Louise; sisters-in-law, Patty, Bonnie, Wilma Jean, and Vivian; niece Wendell; nephew Eugene; special friends of the family Paul Adkins and Stephanie Wallace; and many more nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, whom she loved dearly.

                Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Everett Adkins Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6-9 Wednesday at the funeral home.
