BRANDON WESLEY RIEDER, 36, of Ashville, Ala., formerly of Genoa, W.Va., passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at St. Vincent East Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. He was born May 10, 1986, in Huntington, W.Va., and was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death was an infant son Brayden Rieder; maternal grandparents Foley and Wyelda Thompson; paternal grandparents George and Carol Rieder; uncle Mark Rieder; aunts Rita Fraley and Janice Thompson; and stepfather John Starkey.
Survivors include his mother Linda Starkey of Genoa, W.Va.; his father George “Eddie” Rieder of Wayne, W.Va.; three children, Kylie Rieder of Mason County, W.Va., Joanna Baker of Huntington, W.Va., and Aiden May of Ona, W.Va.; his fiancé Jaime Wallace of Ashville, Ala. and her children McKayla Lewis, Tyler Collins, and Shawn Collins Jr.
Also surviving is brother, Zach Rieder of Genoa; sisters Haley Starkey, of Genoa, Tina Starkey, Carrie Starkey, and Sara Starkey; uncles and aunts, Cris Rieder of Prichard, W.Va., Cindy (Darrell) Sanders of East Lynn, W.Va., Connie Scott of Wayne, Patty Barton, Steve Thompson, and Doug (Amanda) Thompson all of Genoa; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Private service will be held for the family. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
