Cathy Ann Townsend

CATHY ANN TOWNSEND, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  She was born January 18, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Burch and Anita Larkin.  Her husband of 60 years, Cliff Townsend, also preceded her in death.  Cathy was retired from Hospice of Huntington and a member of Farmdale Church of Christ in Barboursville, W.Va.

Survivors include two children, Kelly (Dale) Merritt of Huntington, and Todd (Michelle) Townsend of Hurricane, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Colin (Bethany) Merritt of Ona, W.Va., and Meg Townsend of Morgantown, W.Va.; one sister-in-law, Nan (Jim) Faflik of El Paso, Tex.; one niece, Julie Faflik of El Paso; two nephews, David Faflik of Kingston, R.I., and Jonathan (Erin) Faflik and their children, Levi and James, of Austin, Tex.; as well as friends and neighbors too numerous to mention. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mahayla Burns with Visiting Angels for her compassionate care. Cathy was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Huntington www.hospiceofhuntington.org.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
