Charles Eugene Bowden

CHARLES EUGENE BOWDEN, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Huntington Health & Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for the last 7 years.  He was born June 17, 1929 in Huntington, a son of the late Hal Bowden and Martha Bartram Bowden.  Also preceding him in death was his wife, Ruth Henry Bowden; daughter, Linda Bowden Byrd; two sons Charles Bowden and Steve Bowden; one grandson Randy Mullins; two brothers, Robert Bowden and Howard Bowden; and an infant sister Martha.   

            Charles loved to cook and enjoyed working and helping in gardens.  He cherished attending church with his family and always looked forward to visiting with family.            

            He is survived by one daughter Ruth Ann Mullins and her husband Dr. Randall Mullins of Hudson, Fla.; grandchildren Ryan (Shannon) Mullins of Nolensville, Tenn., Michael Byrd, Noah Byrd; and several great grandchildren including Cassie, Elijah Mullins and Isaiah Mullins.   Also surviving is one brother Bill (Betty) Bowden of Tenn.; and their children Terry Bowden (Mike) Hensley and David Bowden; and a host of additional family too numerous to mention.  

            Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Parsons Cemetery, Mill Creek.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
