Christopher Bhlue Sanchez

CHRISTOPHER BHLUE SANCHEZ, 26, of Prichard, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday January 9, 2026, in Junction City, Kansas.  He was born April 17, 1999, in Manila, Philippines, son of Stephen and Maria Sansom.  He was a Sergeant in the United States Army for five years stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.

When not on duty he loved to fish, play pool and sing karaoke often turning ordinary nights into memories everyone laughed about later.  He was a very genuine, friendly, and loving person, someone who made others feel welcome and cared for the moment they met him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife Angelica Corpuz Sanchez and his greatest pride, his son, Bhlue Lien Ray Sanchez of Prichard;  two brothers, Carl and his wife Zaniah Sanchez and their daughter Cadence of Anchorage, Alaska, and Bryan Sansom and his fiancé Reagan Queen of Prichard; and dear family pets, Radar and Teddy.

Also surviving are grandparents Virgilio Pena of Manila, Philippines, and Clyde Sansom of Wayne, W.Va.; uncle Dereck Pena of Manila; aunt Heather Sansom McCallister of Barboursville, W.Va.; and uncle Jefferey (Tara) Sansom of Ona, W.Va.;  further survived by his mother-in-law Jennifer Matias and sister-in-law Meagun Corpuz of Alberta, Canada: and numerous cousins and friends who became family through the years of shared memories.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Eastwood officiating.  Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with military honors performed by the West Virginia National Guard and American Legion Post 93.  Visitation will begin at 10 am.
