CLARA JANE CARTER, 49, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 19, 2022. She was born November 28, 1972 in West Hamlin, W.Va., and was a member of Nestlow United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sampson and Ella Blankenship, and Walter Lake and Pansy Perry; her mother and father-in-law, Manuel and Betty Sue Carter; sisters-in-law, Diana Perry, Evelyn Brown, and Ada Todd; brother-in-law John Carter; niece Savannah Grace Vaughan; and nephew Nathan Scott Vaughan.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Carter; two stepchildren, Brian Keith Carter and Kaley Donyelle Carter, all of Huntington; and granddaughter, Braileigh Smith of Elkins, W.Va.
Also surviving are her parents, Beverly and A.J. Perry, with whom she made her home during her illness; two brothers, Matthew Perry of Huntington, and John Andrew Perry of East Lynn, W.Va.; three sisters, Monica Perry, Mia Randolph, both of East Lynn, and Savannah Perry of Summersville, W.Va.; two special nieces, Isabella and Meranzy Perry, both of east Lynn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elder Jason McComas and Brother Sam Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday.
