Claude Jude

CLAUDE JUDE, 81 years of age, went on to be in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Claude was born on September 20, 1942, in Chattaroy, W.Va., to John and Nora Jude, whom preceded him in death, along with six sibling James L. Jude, Anna M. Huke, Benjamin H. Jude, John D. Jude, Alice F. Kirkman, and Rebecca Vanatter; as well as his wife of 49 years, Doris M. Jude. 

                Those left to mourn his absence are four children, Gloria (Henry) Carter, Claude M. Jude, Beverly (Everett) Grant, and Carolyn (Adam) Tackett; seven grandchildren, Darrell (Jennifer) Jude, Candace (Mike) Eady, David (Levy) Grant, Taylor (Kayla) Grant, Alyssa (James) Messer, Jessica Patrick, and Emily (Justin) Thompson; and 12 great Grandchildren, Kylea, Hayden, Elijah, Grayson, Aubriella, Mikayla, Kendalynn, Danica, Madison, Damon, Whitleigh, and Tyson.

                Also surviving are three sisters, Bessie L. Stine, Carolyn Ekers, and Barbara Taylor; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

                Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Travis Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Henry G. Hatten Cemetery, Prichard, W.Va.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
