CLIFTON LAMAR COOK, 89, of Kiahsville, W.Va., passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born February 24, 1933, in Cairo, Ga., a son of the late Cecil and Oneida Cook. His daughter Veronica Hamilton also preceded him in death. Lamar was a US Army veteran and retired from General Motors.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Maxine Cook; three daughters, Anice (Roy) David, Cherie (Dave) Azbell, and Lisa (Kevin) Kempe; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Mays officiating and military honors conducted by the American Legion Post 93. In lieu of flowers, donations can me made in Lamar’s name to the Salvation Army.
