Clyde Hensley, Jr.

CLYDE HENSLEY, JR., 97, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  He was born August 17, 1925 in Wayne County, a son of the late Robert and Myrtle Hensley.  Also preceding him in death was one son, Roger Franklin Hensley; one grandson, Jason Allen Hensley; six sisters; and four brothers. Clyde retired from Columbia Gas and a member of Macedonia Methodist Church. 

He leaves behind his loving wife of 76 years, Lillian Hensley; daughters Karen (Harold) Nicely of Branchland, W.Va., Gwendolyn Kendrick of Huntington, and Pamela Hensley of Barboursville, W.Va.; two sons Jerry (Kathy) Hensley and Greg Hensley, both of Huntington; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Tony Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephenson Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday.
