Dale Edward Ashworth

DALE EDWARD ASHWORTH, 72, of Milton, W.Va., husband of Jeannie Napier Ashworth, passed away on June 20, 2022.  He was born January 26, 1950 in Frazier’s Bottom, W.Va., a son of the late Kenneth Ashworth and Loreda Ashworth Davis.  Also preceding him in death were grandparents, Herbert and Virgie Deal, and Burl and Mabel Ashworth; stepfather Arie Davis; and brother Kendal Ashworth. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and National Guard, and a retired maintenance engineer and operations manager of the Pullman Plaza Hotel.  He loved to hunt, fish and garden, and spend time with his little fur baby “Precious”.

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Sara Childers, Trina (Perry) Maston, Josh Blair, Joey (April) Blair, Amanda Hodges, and J.J. Dennison; 10 grandchildren including special grandkids Tari Wolfe and Lexi McClure; and 10 great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Sherman (Karen) Ashworth; two sisters, Sharon (Terry) Yates and Carolyn Elkins; one sister-in-law, Linda Ashworth; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Military honors will be performed at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home by the American legion Post 93.  Visitation will continue until 7 p.m.  Donations are suggested to Little Victories, 3589 Wire Branch Road, Ona, W.Va., 25545.
