DALE S. CRABTREE, 75, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022. He was born January 17, 1947, in Wayne, West Virginia, a son of the late Barney and Mary Crabtree. His brothers Dewhit, Dewaine, and Drewie, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Eloise Crabtree; one brother, Delbert (Easther) Crabtree of Elkins, W.Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Roy and Doris Crabtree, both of Huntington; Bill (Lisha) Salmons, who was like a brother to him; and sister-in-law Gladys Crabtree of Somerset, Ky.
Also surviving are two sons, Jimmy (Becky) Crabtree of Huntington, and Curtis Crabtree of Catlettsburg, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Dreama (Travis) Perry of Genoa, W.Va.; three grandsons, Brandon Crabtree (Kayla Dunfee) , Bryan (Ashley) Clagg and James Scott Clagg (Miranda Smith) all of Huntington; eight great-grandchildren; special step-grandsons Dustin (Brittany) Perry, and Travis “T.J” (Rachel) Perry, and their families, all of Genoa; and a host of additional family and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Huntington for their care and support.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Travis J. Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Robertson Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
