DALLAS WAYNE MAYNARD, 92, of Etna Township, Ohio, formerly of East Lynn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born January 17, 1931, in East Lynn, a son of the late Elijah Wayne and Bertha Maynard. His wife Anna Maynard also preceded him in death along with two daughters, Cathi Lynn Curry, and Jo Ann Wood; and all of his brothers and sisters, Lindsey Maynard, Maudie Mathis, Earl Maynard, Fannie Smith, Orvalee Maynard, Charles Maynard, Lena Kingery, and Norman Maynard. Dallas was a member of Salem United Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Randall Wayne Maynard of Blacklick, Oh., Kevin (Janice) Maynard of Kettering, Oh., and Dana Maynard of Etna, Oh.; five grandchildren, Derek Maynard of Columbus, Oh., Michael Maynard, Karra Maynard, both of Kettering, Dawn (Sean) Sky of Rossiter, Penn., and Nikki Stransky (Doug Mecca) of Burbank, Cal.; two great grandchildren, Quentin Sky and Sarah Sky; as well as a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday.
