Daniel Dalton Surface

DANIEL DALTON “DANNY” SURFACE, 70, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Huntington Health & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 8, 1951 in Charleston, a son of the late Noble Dalton Surface and Barbara Cottrell Surface.  One brother, William Michael “Mike” Surface also preceded him in death.  

            Survivors include two sisters, Delta Ann (Oakie) Taylor of Big Chimney, W.Va.; Mary Jane Surface of Webster Springs, W.Va., and Dorothy Jean “Dottie” Surface of Charleston; several nieces and nephews; and several special caregivers. 

            Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home from 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m., at which time procession will leave for Graveside services at the Surface-Shafer Cemetery, Charleston, W.Va. at 1 p.m. with Brother Jerry Ross officiating.
