“God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come With Me.” DARLENE FAY PERRY, 66, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be home with the Lord on August 3, 2021. She was born February 20, 1955, In Georgetown, Ky., a daughter of the late Luther and Lillian Shouse Murphy. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Roy Murphy; two sisters Katherine Whaley, and Brenda Wireman; her twin children Ryan and Bryan Copley; and a daughter Felicia Elliott.
She is survived by her husband Lester Perry; three daughters, Karen Copley, Kimberly (Ronald) Stamper, and Sherri (Robert) Austin; one son, Lester (Ashley) Perry, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, William, Stephen (Morgan), Robyn (Scott), Shaunelle (Patrick), Kayla (Keith), Marcus, Elijah, Landon, Ethan, Cartier, Andi, Cayden, and Louanna Fay; and great-grandchildren, Kenady, Lisa, Lennon, Laelynne, and baby Jaycie Fay on the way.
Also surviving is one sister Loretta (Otha) Wethington of Midway, Ky.; one brother Ricky (Jorjean) Murphy of Minn.; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her church family at Gospel Tabernacle Church, where she was a member, for their guidance and support.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Leston Followay officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
