DIXIE PACK, 66, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born February 4, 1959, in Louisa, Ky., a daughter of the late Clyde and Ora Adams. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Glen Adams and infant Tommy Adams. Dixie was a home health care provider and a member of Wayne Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband Toney Pack, who was the love of her life; two sons, Matthew (Tia) Casteele of Wayne, and Frank Casteele; and two grandsons, Mathison Casteele and Brandon Casteele.
Also surviving are sisters, Tennie (Brian) Lester of Wayne, Bertha (Tim) Noble, also of Wayne, Alice (Ronnie) Brewer of Genoa, W.Va., Frankie (Lot) Thornhill of Ft. Gay, W.Va., Sara (Steve) Davis of East Lynn, W.Va., Martha Brewer of Genoa, and Norma (Greg) Chafin also of Genoa; three brothers, Grover Adams of Canada, “T Bug” Adams of Genoa, and Homer Adams of Proctorville, Oh.; special friend Jackie Pence of Wayne; special neighbor Minnie Stephens of Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melissa and Roger Workman of Wayne, special caregivers Emily and Barbara, nurse Sandy and the entire staff of Hospice of Huntington for their support and care.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Leston Followay and Brian Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery Annex. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
