Doris Jane Kemble

DORIS JANE KEMBLE, 65, of Lavalette, WV, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was born May 21, 1958, in Frankfort, KY, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Christine Ferguson.  Her niece Michelle Harper also preceded her in death.   Doris was a seamstress and a member of Truth Independent Baptist Church in Lavalette.

                Survivors include her husband, Frank Kemble; one daughter, Kimberly (James) Mays of Lavalette; two sons Steven Jude (Bridgette Turner) of Huntington, WV, and Frank Kemble Jr., of Kenova, WV; five grandchildren, Brittney Mays of Phoenix, AZ, Matthew May, Hannah Mays, both of Lavalette, Olivia Jude of Huntington, and Maggie Kemble of Proctorville, OH; two sisters, Carol (William) Marcum of Kentucky, and Brenda (Donnie) Hickman of Dunlow, WV;  as well as friend and family too numerous to mention.

                A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Truth Independent Church with Pastor Lou Ashworth officiating.  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
