DWAYNE ALLEN COX, 56, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Born August 3, 1965, in Chicago, Ill., Dwayne worked for WV Division of Highways, in Wayne. Preceding him in death was his paternal grandmother, Vicie Cox; maternal grandfather Clifford Jack Wilson; aunt Betty Sue Wilson; and special friend Doug Turley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Cox; two daughters Rachel (Kyle) Crisel of Lavalette, and Jessica Cox of Genoa, W.Va.; and two grandsons, Reed and Owen Crisel.
Also surviving are his parents, Jack and Janice Cox of Genoa; one sister, Laura (Dick) Pickard of Rittman, Oh.; a niece Niecole Ray (DeMarko), also of Rittman; mother-in-law Gladys Adams of Plain City, Oh.; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Gospel Tabernacle Church with Brother Garland Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family.
