Earl Dale Ramey

EARL DALE RAMEY, 73, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2023.  He was born September 7, 1950, in Lavalette, W.Va., a son of the late James and Ethel Ramey.  Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Marie Ramey; brothers Darrell Ramey, David Ramey, and Don Ramey; and stepson James Minnes Wilson.  Earl was a retired auto mechanic and attended Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. 

                Survivors include his wife Sharon Ramey; two daughters, Diana Ramey and Rebecca Ramey, both of Ft. Gay, W.Va.; one son, Rodney Ramey of Kenova; four stepchildren, Starlena Riggsby, Vernon Wilson, Jr., Robert Allen Wilson, and Katrina Wilson; and 34 grandchildren.

                Also surviving is one sister, Carolyn (Scott) Chandler of Wayne, W.Va.; one brother Carlos (Tammy) Ramey of Genoa; special friends Kenneth Conn, Norman Webb, and Willis Mills; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family would like to thank the Dunlow EMS and his nephew, Scott Ramey for their care. 

                Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Ernie Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ramey Cemetery, Genoa.  Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
