Elizabeth Scarberry Obituary

ELIZABETH RUTH ADKINS SCARBERRY, 88 of Middlefield, Ohio, formerly of Eastlake, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at UH Geauga Hospital. She was born February 22, 1932 in East Lynn W.Va. to the late Elmer and Reba (Lester) Adkins.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Scarberry who she married June 25, 1960 and died December 3, 1969; her sisters, Dicy Ellen Burns, Thelma Adkins; a brother, Cecil Adkins; and a sister-in-law Goldie (Chaney) Adkins.  She was a graduate of Wayne High School. Elizabeth retired from General Electric in 1992 where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed crocheting, working on puzzle books, hand quilting, and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Viola Clay of Middlefield, Ohio, and Tywanna (Domenic) Berardinelli of Painesville, Ohio; her sister, Effie Louise (J.W.) Maynard of North Ridgeville, Ohio; brothers, Anthony (Sybil) Adkins of Huntington, W.Va., Elmer (Agnes) Adkins Jr. of East Lynn; a brother-in-law, William Burns of Logan W.Va.; three grandchildren, Larry Clay, Crystal Berardinelli, Raychel (Andrew) Berardinelli-Koehler; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher Clay, Athena Ray, Avery Sterling Koehler; and many nieces and nephews. 

               Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 16, 2020 at Jones Cemetery.  Local arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
