FRANCIS “BUNT” MARION PERRY, 85, of Lavalette, WV, was welcomed to heaven by his loving wife of 63 years, on April 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Perry by 29 days. He missed Barbara every day and considered her the love of his life. He was also preceded in death by his parents Emery and Verlie Perry; one sister, Lillian Atwood; three brothers, Gene Perry, Norman Perry, and Darrell Perry.
Francis was a dedicated family man and provider for his family. He was a faithful member of Laurel Freewill Baptist Church for 52 years and attended often. He also served as a deacon for the church for several years.
Survivors include one son, Larry Perry (Michele) of Chuluota, FL; two daughters, Teresa Rickman (Michael) and Dianna Mills (Mark), both of Lavalette; two grandsons, Trevor Perry and Dylan Perry; two granddaughters, Andrea McCallister and Allison Wood; four great granddaughters, Caitlyn Porter, Josilyn May, Aubree Anderson, and Kaia Perry; and three great grandsons, Joshua Rogers, Jason Wood and Jacob Wood.
Also surviving is one brother, Carl “Bear” Perry (Mildred); four sisters, Leatha Davis, Emaline Pruitt, Gladys Steele, and Sharon West (Donald), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Francis was loved by many, and the void in their lives will be felt for many years. He will be forever cherished by a multitude of friends, customers, and family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sam Robinson, Tiffany Carpenter, two granddaughters, Andrea McCallister and Allison Wood, and their families who cared for and supported Francis and Barbara in their final months.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery Annex. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
