FRANK WILLIAM NORTH, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, March 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 12, 1942, in Fannettsburg, Penn., a son of the late Elmer and Marietta North. His loving wife of 58 years, Susie North, also preceded him in death, along with two brothers, Leroy Fleagle and Edward North.
Frank graduated in 1960 from Fannett-Metal High School in Willow Hill, Penn. He then joined the US Navy where he served for over 20 years and was a Vietnam War veteran. He later worked for over 20 years with the US Corps of Engineers. In his retirement, Frank enjoyed woodworking, outdoors, sharing stories, and entertaining family and friends.
Survivors include his twin sister, Nellie (John) Leedy; three sons, Paul (Deborah) North, Phillip (Keri) North, and James (Sarah) North; grandchildren Austin, Madison, Laney, and Waylon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Kenova Church of Christ, 1801 Chestnut Street, Kenova, W.Va., with Minister Chris Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at noon, Friday. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
