GENEVIEVE “GEN” GALLIE, 89, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Heritage Center in Huntington, where she has resided for several years. She was born December 17, 1934, in Kermit, West Virginia, a daughter of the late “Liss” and Bethania Spaulding. Also preceding her in death was her first husband Lyle S. Hoschar; her second husband George A. Gallie III; one brother Haskel Spaulding; and her daughter GiGi Michelle Sparry.
Survivors include one son, George Gallie IV of Huntington, W.Va.; three grandsons, Christopher, Nicholas, and Tyler, all of Florida; one sister, Ruth Damron of South Point, Oh.; one brother Al (Rosemary) Spaulding of Kenova; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and all who loved and cared for Gen at the Heritage Center. She will be dearly missed by her family who loved her very much.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in a private service at the Brewer-Fitzpatrick Cemetery.
