GLENIA MAE McSWEENEY, 81, of Wayne, W.Va., went to Heaven on Thursday, November 26, 2020. She was born February 9, 1939 in Logan County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Tom Pat and Beulah Napier. Also preceding her in death was one sister Lenoria Jean Johnson; one brother Tommy Napier, and one daughter-in-law Shawna Talbert. Glenia was a homemaker and a longtime member of Canada Chapel Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Perley McSweeney; one son, David Talbert of Louisa, Ky.; three grandsons, Davey (Cora) Talbert of Wayne, Shawn Talbert, and Peyton Talbert, both of Louisa; five great grandchildren, Malaki, Tapanga, Abby, Corey, and Dakota; and three stepdaughters, Cindi (Larry) Adkins of Lavalette, W.Va., Lori McSweeney of Echo, W.Va., and Kim (James) Burns of East Lynn, W.Va. and their families.
Also surviving is one sister, Violet (Ezra) Talbert of Wayne; a special nephew David “Peache” (Lisa) Johnson of Wayne; as well as many other nephews, nieces, family and friends who were dear to her.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Canada Chapel Church with Brothers David Adkins and Charles Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
