GLORIA SUE SCOTT, 60, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born May 31, 1965, in Huntington, W.Va., and spent her life loving and accepting all who crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Sue Kirk, who passed just two days before her; her sister Robin Denise Perry; grandparents William and Senia Maynard Rice; and very special in-laws, Orbie and Birdie Scott.
Gloria enjoyed gardening and listening to audio books. She loved everyone and her kindness and love helped many in her life to grow into amazing people. Her compassion for others knew no bounds. “Glo’s” house is where everyone went when they needed an ear, shoulder, or “GoGo” hug .
Gloria was a proud and devoted wife to Roger Scott and loving mother to Anthony Stephens. Additional survivors whom she cherished include sisters Tracie (Brett) Lindenmeier and Tammy Riddle; her brothers-in-law Ray (Rose) Scott and Ronald (Amber) Scott; her sister-in-law Dean (George) Ratliff; nieces and nephews, Sherry Brooks, Jessie (Jose) Quinones, Jason (Vanessa) Scott, her “sunshine” Trista Copley (Obie Caldwell), George Ratliff, Michael Starkweather, Trevor Starkweather, Joseph Starkweather, her Godson, Camren “Possum” Starkweather; great nieces and great nephews, Shawn (Elizabeth) Brooks, Robert Brooks, Eric Brooks (Allie), Paul Brooks, Shyanna (Zach) Hale, Brad (Jessica) Scott, Andrew (Heather) Scott, Anne Lane, Kristin Lane, Tyler (Zoey) Scott, Derrick Scott (Bre Holland), Kaitlyn (Christopher) Johnson, Baylee Scott, Austin Copley, Aidyn Copley, Austin Ross, Cheyanne Ross, Kameron Ross, Kayla Hay, Chace Ratliff, George B. Ratliff, and Athena Ratliff; and great-great nieces and nephews, Abylen Scott, Braylen Scott, Storm “Monster” Lane, Tyson Scott, Waylon Johnson, Alaina “Punkin” Copley, and Jaxon Hay.
Per her request, there will be no public services. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
