HARMON KENNETH RIGGS, 80, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born November 5, 1941 in Barberton, Oh., a son of the late Reuben and Thelma Riggs. Two sisters, Wyelda Thompson and Anna Muncy also preceded him in death. Ken was retired from GE with 24 years of service, and ran his own business, Ken’s Appliance Repair Service. He was a member of Twelve Pole Valley Baptist Church in Genoa.
Survivors include his loving wife Jean Riggs; one daughter Vickie Ball of Ashland, Ky.; five sons, Don (Rosie) Riggs of Paris, Ky., Scott (Lisa) Riggs of Genoa, Mark (Dee Dee) Riggs of Wayne, W.Va., Daryl (Linda) Riggs of Genoa, and Todd (Jennifer) Riggs of Lavalette, W.Va.; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one on the way.
Also surviving is one sister, Janet (Pete) Chadwick of Wayne; best friend Warren Kazee of Genoa; special cousin Jason Riggs also of Genoa; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Crabtree Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday.
