HERMAN “Pee-Wee” CRABTREE, 75, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 8, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Herbert and Lois Crabtree. His son Herman Lee Crabtree also preceded him in death along with and four brothers, Roy, Jimmy, Dale, and Ricky Crabtree.
Herman worked hard throughout his life, holding various jobs before retiring from BLA and BJA Trucking after 25 years of dedicated service. He was known for his strong work ethic, devotion to family, and love for those around him.
He is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie “Jo” (Jimmy) Boone, and Tammy (Tim) Dalton; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Herman is also survived by his siblings, Betty (Bob) Adkins, Diane (Randy) Adkins, Edna Wilson, and Tommy (Sheena) Crabtree. He cherished his nieces and nephews dearly and was loved by all.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Hospice of Huntington for their compassionate care, as well as to Tom and Sheena for their love and support during this time. Herman’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Copley officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday.
