Ira Pinson

IRA PINSON, 74, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at his residence.  He was born August 28, 1949, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Jay and Gracie Watts Pinson.  Also preceding him in death were four brothers, James Pinson, Johnnie Pinson, Mont Sias, and Harley Pinson; and three sisters, Jayetta McCloud, Georgie Shreve, and Dakota Copley.  Ira worked as a landscaper and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

                Survivors include two brothers, Jesse Pinson (Darlene McClellan) of Wayne, and Freddie Sias of Kenova; two sisters, Mary Copley of Rittman, Oh., and Effie Rakes of Kenova; special friends, Tommy Aliff, Chuck (Krystal) Adkins, and all the Maynard brothers; as well as a host of nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

              Graveside services will be conducted at 1pm Monday, June 24, 2024 at the Cox Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
