IRNA LEAH PERRY, 89, of Dunlow, W.Va., reunited with her heavenly father on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She was born October 8, 1936, at Dunlow, W.Va., daughter of the late Curtis and Era Mantz Perry. In addition to her parents, Irna was also preceded in death by her husband and lifelong partner of 62 years, John B. Perry; their children Neta Lou Perry and Jeffrey Kim Perry; three brothers, Kim Curtis, Donald Jay, and Herman Perry; a sister Alta Pearl Lycans; sister-in-law Barbara Perry; and three brothers-in-law, Jim Ed Trogden, Paul Lycans, and Michael Williamson.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Jordan R. Perry of Flatwoods, Ky.; grandsons Jacob Perry of Kenova, W.Va., and Chris (Brandy) Edwards of Flatwoods, Ky.; two sisters, Geraldine Trogden and Mary “Kat” Williamson both of Wayne; four brothers, Hobert Ray (Betty) Perry, Raymond “Bob” (Sheila) Perry, all of Huntington, Claude (Bonnie) Perry and Lowell (Sheila) Perry, all of Genoa; sister-in-law Sandra Perry of Genoa; and daughter-in-law Mary Arthur Perry of Huntington.
She also leaves behind six great grandchildren, Journee and Jeffrey (Laine) Tilton, Haley and Liam Perry, and Brooklynn and Bohdan Edwards; one great-great grandchild Zayden; along with a host of additional family and friends too numerous to mention.
Irna was a dedicated mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who always treasured every moment with her family. A vibrant personality, she was a skilled farmer of 62 years who loved cooking and feeding her family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge Barbie (mother of Jordan and Chris) and Charles Blevins of Flatwoods for caring / keeping company of Irna in the times of need. We would also like to show our gratitude to Emory and Sabrina Dotson of Genoa, W.Va., for honoring the roots of the Perry family farm and carrying its legacy forward with such care as well as becoming family in the process. We are very appreciative!
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Travis Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the John Perry Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
