JACKSON JOSEPH COLLINS, 76, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1944 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Violet Collins Childers. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Gene Mullins, David Mullins, and Danny Mullins; one sister, Gail Mullins; and one stepson Jonathan Moore. Jack was a retired bus driver, having worked for the Wayne County Board of Education and the Tri-State Transit Authority in Huntington, and he attended Living Waters Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Delores Collins; two daughters, Allison (Roger) Renaud and Joann (Mike) Plymale, both of Ohio; one son, Jackie Dale Walker Collins of Kenova, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Jettie Adkins of Ceredo, W.Va., and Patty (Jerry) Horn of Mason Co., W.Va.; stepson Doyle Moore of Penn.; one aunt Loretta (Lys) Walters of Huntington; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Ray Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
