James Michael "Mike" Smith

JAMES MICHAEL “MIKE” SMITH, 73, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  He was born August 3, 1952, in Wayne, West Virginia, a son of the late Taylor and Maxine Smith.  His son-in-law Doug Turley also preceded him in death.  Mike was retired from Ownes Illinois Glass Manufacturing and was a member of the Bible Apostolic Church in Huntington.

                He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Rhonda Smith; three children, Bart (Emily) Kirk of Lavalette, W.Va., Michelle (Jesse) Frye of Wayne, and Jason (Kathy) Smith of Huntington; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister Carol Davidson (Ronnie) of Wayne; and a host of family, friends, and special neighbors too numerous to mention.

                A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Fairburn officiating.  Visitation will begin at 6 p.m.
