JOHN FLETCHER, JR., 83, of Genoa, W.Va. passed away Thursday, May 23, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 5, 1941, in Big Creek, Ky., a son of the late John and Laura Fletcher.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Fannie Fletcher; five children, John (Judith) Fletcher III of Wayne, W.Va., Allen Fletcher of Radnor, W.Va., Marie Fletcher of Lavalette, W.Va., Daniel Fletcher of South Point, Oh., Tina Fletcher of Genoa, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Fletcher, Steve Fletcher, Noah Fletcher, Danielle Fletcher, Drew Browning, Jonathon Fletcher, Bethany Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher, Ben Browning, and Ritchie Merritt; and nine great grandchildren, Febe Fletcher, Piper Fletcher, Skylar Fletcher, Arabella Fletcher, Marissa Stacy, Casey Stacy, Tyler Stacy, Ralan Browning, and Alexis Napier.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Ann Finley of Prichard, W.Va., Gladys (Garland) Moore of Columbus, Oh., and betty (Clyde) Davis of Athens, Oh.; two brothers, Jimy (Sharon) Fletcher of Lavalette, W.Va., and Joe (Gayla) Fletcher of Ashland, Ky.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Gordon Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
