Kasandra Leigh West

KASANDRA LEIGH WEST, 48, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Born September 24, 1973 in Huntington, W.Va., she graduated from Wayne High School and was a nursing supervisor at River Park Hospital. She was preceded in death by special friend and beloved mother to her grandchildren, Kendall Keith. 
      Survivors include her parents, Sandra and Gary Hays of Ranger, W.Va.; her husband Samuel Napier of Wayne; her daughter Brianna (Josh) Napier of Ashland; her son Jarred Stephens of Wayne, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren, Arraya, Elijah, Haylee, Isaiah, Olivia, Lincoln, and Kylie.
       Also surviving are sisters, Gwen (David) Vernick of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Nancy (Danny) Trautwein of Raceland, Ky.; nephew Ryan; nieces Miranda and Alexa; special cousin Melissa Cyfers; and a host of friends who will miss her dearly. 
      Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brothers Danny Trautwein and Jack Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Cove Gap Resting Place Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday.
