Kathern “Suzie” Epling

KATHERN “SUZIE” NAPIER EPLING, 74, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2023 at her home. 

She was born August 23, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Nathan and Nannie Napier.  Also preceding her in death were brothers Frank, Bob, Charles, Elmer, and Nate Napier, and sisters Helen Etta, Nannie Mae and Audria.

Suzie was a former employee of Health South and the Wayne County Board of Education, as well as a member of Cove Gap United Baptist Church, Cove Gap, W.Va.    

She is survived by her loving husband William Epling; her children Rick (Sonya) Adkins of Huntington, and Donna (Tom) Fuller of Prichard, W.Va.; grandsons William Horn and Tommy (Amanda) Fuller; granddaughter Makayla Adkins. 

Also surviving is one brother, Don Napier of Huntington; one sister, Paulette Ross, also of Huntington; her best friend Valerie Adkins; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Jody Thompson and Jason Ross officiating.  Burial will follow in the Epling Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6-8  p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
