KEELING “CALVIN” STRAW, 57, of Radnor, W.Va., went on to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 21, 2025, to be with his Lord and Savior, as well as family who had made it on before him. He was born September 21, 1967, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Bernard Straw and Cozie Vannatter Straw. His sister Bobbie Lou Straw also preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish all the memories include his loving wife of 33 years, Melissa Straw; two sons, Cody (Kensey) Straw of Wayne, W.Va., and Zachary Straw of Radnor; and four wonderful grandchildren, Waylon Straw, Nora Straw, both at home, Josh Lucas, and Joseph Lucas, both of Wayne.
Also surviving is one sister, Cindy Stevens of Dunlow, W.Va.; special aunt Marilyn Diann “Merl” Moore; special uncle John Vannatter, both of Dunlow; mother-in-law Betty Crabtree of East Lynn, W.Va.; brother-in-law Keith Maynard of Columbus, Oh.; sister-in-law Heather Dewberry of Powtown, Oh.; as well as a host of family and friends too numerous to mention individually.
Calvin worked for MSW for several years and enjoyed racing, trail riding and rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers. He cherished family time and all the get-togethers. He loved his church family at Echo United Baptist Church. Most of all he loved the Lord, his savior.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rhonda Davis and the staff of Hospice of Huntington for their love and support.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Vannatter Marcum Cemetery with Elder Tommy Damron officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
